Silks Creation Research Workshop Aug 4

This workshop will work on creation and creativity on aerial silks. You will learn how to perform transitions seamlessly between tricks, musicality, and expressiveness. We will start researching/creating with basic/simple aerial movement and the end of the workshop will consist of working on what we learned and creating an original short choreography!

This workshop needs a minimum of three students to run, so save your spot in advance, Cancellation window is 48 hours.

About the Instructor:
Megumi Yamada is NYC-based circus performer, specialized in aerial silks, lyra, and dance trapeze and is part of NYC-based circus company, Cirque du Nuit, as an aerial director and aerial performer.

She has been touring with Cirque du Nuit in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Texes. Megumi was also a principal aerial performer and aerial instructor at Brooklyn-based circus company, Urban Circus NYC. She is a finalist of the U.S. Aerial Championships 2015, aerial silks division in New York, and first prize with Pole Paradise Studio Aerial Performance Tournament, amateur silks division, Hong Kong in 2013. She is an International Sports Sciences Association certified personal trainer, also specialized in shoulder injuries.
