Casting for Commercial May 21
Posted May 5, 2019
We are looking for talent for a video we will be shooting for My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream. The content will be used online and social as part of My/Mo Mochi’s marketing campaign.

We are seeking talent who embody a "Because, Whatever" attitude. Because, Whatever means that fun doesn’t have to make sense, because when you forget the need to justify why you’re doing something, you open up your world to amazing possibilities.

We are looking for fun and weirdly wonderful individuals with skills that have been perfected and crafted.
Videos due: Sunday, May 5
Fitting: Monday, May 20
Shoot: Wednesday May 21
NY or LA (travel provided)
Please submit video to by May 5

We are looking for performances that are a manifestation of the Because, Whatever attitude. They can be a unique talent like contorting your body into an unexpected shape or creative bit of weirdness like using a hair dryer to propel yourself on roller skates. Overall we’re looking for performances that are impressive, witty, creative, and irreverent, not stupid or shocking for their own sake.

Think of these as crazy talent show submissions. What would grab people’s attention and surprise them with ingenuity? The more unique unexpected and creative your performance the better.

Try and keep your filming style as simple as possible. You are the focal point of the campaign. Frame yourself so that you’re large in the frame for a simple straight to camera shot. During or at the end of your performance speak the words, “Because, Whatever.”

Please feel free to include any supplementary materials that may help us get to know you.

Performance examples:
· A contortionist doing an everyday activity
· An actor who can perform Hamlet in ten seconds
· A cowboy who sings Italian opera

Please make sure your submission goes directly to ONLY. This is not a public submission, we ask that submissions do not go through YouTube or other social media channels unless they are password protected. If you have already uploaded to YouTube publicly, if you can please take that down and re-submit directly to the email provided.
