Caligula Maximus Apr 6-17
Posted April 5, 2011
in association with HOUSE OF YES and LADY CIRCUS

- a new musical disco circus -
featuring Kayvon Zand

Welcome to the last night of the notorious emperor's reign. Sensing the encroachment of monotheistic religions, the debaucherous Caligula holds another one of his utterly excessive celebrations in which he attempts to save the world by ushering in a new religion with himself as its principle prophet and god. Caligula is the ringmaster, the star, and the proprietor of the show and by entering his world you inevitably become his subject and his slave.

Aptly described by the Village Voice as "a dirty-minded extravaganza," the show combines elements of a musical with songs inspired by a pop icon, a high-wire circus, and a nightclub installation featuring two of NYC's biggest underground stars, Jamin Ruhren (ACID BETTY) and Kayvon Zand.

Wear shoes you can dance in, wear a costume, or come naked. It's that kind of a party.

starring Jamin Ruhren (aka ACID BETTY)
