Weekly Aerial Fabric & Lyra Classes

Weekly aerial fabric classes with Bobby Hedglin-Taylor.

Tuesdays 8:30pm: Advanced lyra

Tuesdays & Fridays, 2–3:30pm: Open-level aerial fabric
Beginners welcome. All classes have extra assistants for beginner students

All new drops, sequences, and choreography. Class is taught like a dance class: 1/2 hour warm-up climbs and splits, 1/2 hour sequences and brain teasers, and 1/2 hour of drops. Classes are safe and fun!

About Bobby Hedglin-Taylor:
Bobby's career combines over 25 years of theatrical expertise and circus performance, to bring aerial dance to a whole new level! Bobby's circus aerial sequence and design work will be featured on Broadway this fall in the new rock musical CHIX 6. As an actor, he's shared the stage with legends such as Lauren Bacall, Linda Eder, BeBe Neuwirth, Marge Champion, Cady Huffman, Nell Carter, Eileen Fulton, Kathy Lee Gifford, and many more. He is a very proud member of Actors Equity Association and the American Federation of TV and Radio Artists. TV credits include QVC with Kirstie Alley, What Not to Wear, Liberty Tree House, Lala's Court Life, Marriage Ref, The Better Show, Wife Swap, Fashion Emergency, and Matched in Manhattan. He's also appeared on Inside Edition, NY1, WNBC NEWS, WPIX NEWS, and FOX News as well as Japanese, Chinese, and Brazillian TV as an aerial professional/artist.

As a professional actor he often utilizes his aerial and circus skills when performing in musicals and shows that use aerial acrobatics. For the past 10 years he's worked as an aerial sequence choreographer. Staging 22 productions of the musical Barnum, as well as training and sequencing for shows like Madagascar Live!, Aida, Tarzan (TOTS National Tour), Carnival, Thomas the Tank Engine-Circus on Sodor, seven productions of Suessical, and Annie Get Your Gun. He has former students performing all over the world, including in Ringling Brothers, Cirque Du Soleil, Disney, Sea World, The Pickle Family Circus, and the Big Apple Circus and on cruise ships and Broadway. Bobby also coaches privately, training circus professionals in aerial arts such as Spanish web; flying, static and swinging trapeze; cloud swing; aerial fabric ("silks" or "tissu"); hammock; dance trapeze; cord du lisse; tight rope; and juggling. "I enjoy all aspects of height, flight, and aerial dynamics. My philosophy is simple: "Why walk when you can fly?"
