The Science of Sideshow FREE May 11
Posted May 5, 2017
Now, more than ever, we need some science in our lives.

The Symposium Series, an ongoing educational experience fusing science and the arts, brings together the sharpest minds in academia with the city's best performance artists to offer unique perspectives on the same discussion topic.

This month we are delving into the marvelously mysterious world of sideshow. These close-up performance acts, unique to the American circus, were originally conceived by entertainment magnate P.T. Barnum as a way to entertain audiences while they waited for the big tent performance.
