Bring the Art of Clowning to Special Students June 15
Posted May 15, 2017
My name is Amberle Reyes. I am a NYC public school teacher. My students are age 15–21 and have multiple disabilities. They love music, dance, and silliness and communicate using facial expressions, gestures, and sounds, so that's the way we teach.

This year they chose "A Night at the Circus" for their prom theme. We're looking for a way to bring the event to life through clowning or pantomime or just getting some hats and acting silly.

Any advice you have about how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated. If you or anyone/group you know could bring a short performance to us, let me know how to make this happen!

Thank you for bringing joy into the world!
