After-School Tumbling/Gymnastics Teacher Needed Sep-June

Manhattan Youth seeks energetic and enthusiastic gymnastics and tumbling teachers to join our 2016–17 after-school team. Candidates must be punctual, reliable, personable, and have experience coaching, teaching, or playing with grades K–5.

Commitment:
-Semesters run September-January and February-June, every scheduled day the NYC DOE schools are in session. We prefer teachers that can commit to both sessions. Each semester ends with a culminating performance organized by the teacher.

Qualifications:
-Excellent practical experience in your subject area; professional experience a plus.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Strong demonstrated commitment to serving children (K–8) in diverse communities and neighborhoods across NYC. Coaches must have a minimum two years coaching/teaching experience.
-All applicants must have successful previous experience in a summer camp and/or after-school program with three great job references.
-For all positions, a positive attitude and a team-player mindset is a must. We are looking for hardworking, proactive, professional staff.

Tuesday, 3:30pm Kindergarten/First grade gymnastics
Thursday, 3:20pm First/second grade tumbling
Friday, 3:20pm kindergarten tumbling

How Much:
$43/hour (classes are paid as one hour of teaching time and 15 minutes of prep time, so each class comes out to $53.75)
