Big Apple Circus Seeks Camp Staff

Big Apple Circus' Summer Day Camp— In partnership with Oasis Children, Big Apple Circus is offering a weekday summer camp on Governors Island (a 5-minute ferry ride from Lower Manhattan–South Ferry). Campers will be between 9–16 years old and will learn life-enhancing skills such as teamwork, trust, commitment, and responsible risk taking through a structured program of learning and performing circus arts. The camp will run July–August in two-week sessions with a staff training the last week of June.
Big Apple Circus is seeking the following:
- Creative Program Director This position will report to the Associate Creative Director of Community Programs and be responsible for program content, managing the circus staff, coordinating details with Oasis site director, and planning and directing the final shows.
- Circus Arts Teachers Looking for skilled artists and teachers in the following disciplines: aerial, equilibristics, acrobatics, juggling /object manipulation, and clowning.
